On June 17-18, 2022, in Hanoi, VinUni University initiated the first "Teaching and Learning Summit”, focusing on innovation in teaching and learning with the goal of repositioning the role of Higher education in the 21st century. “Teaching and Learning Summit” - the first year was held at VinUni University (Hanoi), bringing together nearly 400 international education leaders from the University of British Columbia ( Canada), Duke-NUS University (Singapore), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Sydney University of Business (Australia), Tianjin University (China) ... and leaders from prestigious Vietnamese schools such as Hanoi National University, Hanoi University of Technology, University of Technology - National University Ho Chi Minh City, National Economics University, Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Medicine Hanoi, etc.
Following seminars are chaired by educational specialists who share in-depth, multidimensional information. The conference focuses on the lessons learnt from implementing foreign pedagogical approaches such as group learning, project-based learning, experiential learning, and so on in Vietnam. The conference also presented emerging ideas with high potential for success, such as incorporating research into teaching, entrepreneurship education, student empowerment, self-directed learning, and an online learning environment.
Representative from LYDINC Co., Ltd., as a panelist, Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu had an interesting share about "Internationalization Strategies to Develop a Globally Connected University in Vietnam".
The success of the first "Teaching and Learning Summit" will bring opportunities to network and develop relationships between domestic and international academic leaders, at the same time opening up more Practical cooperation programs in the future. The second annual meeting will be hosted by Hanoi National University in 2023.
